Mohamed Alamgir has been with LG Energy Solution Michigan (ESMI) for the past 23
years. He leads the cell technology, and R&D of Li ion cells/batteries at ESMI working
closely with LG scientists in Korea for cell development, performance characterization
and abuse-tolerance, and interfaces with NA OEMs. He also manages externally funded
research work such as those from Dept of Energy. Prior to LGES he was with a battery
start-up in the Chicago area (1996-2000) and with a battery R&D company in Boston
area (1984-1994). He got his MS in Electrochemistry in Germany and PhD in Physical
Chemistry from Brandeis University in MA.
